Reading the label

An overview of the key information found on a cannabis product label.

Illustrative example

  1. THC and CBD

    Spot the stated levels.

The label shows THC and CBD levels, usually as a percentage. This lets you compare the profiles of different products.

  2. Units

A percentage and an amount in milligrams are not read the same way.

A percentage shows the proportion of THC or CBD in the product, while an amount in milligrams gives the quantity in a gram or a unit.

  3. Format and quantity

Tell the total contents of the package apart from per-unit information.

The label shows the product’s net weight (for example 3.5 g). Some information, such as levels, is expressed per gram. Make sure you can tell what applies to the package and what applies per unit.

  4. The lot

Identify the product and its lot to ask a specific question.

The lot number identifies the product. It is useful if you want to ask our team a question or get more information about a specific product.
